Beauty Bits for Clean & Clear Skin
The weather is warming and I'm ready for the sun to shine...not my skin. To combat oiliness this spring, I've switched to a really inexpensive oil-free cleanser. St. Ives Naturally Clear Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub cleans pores with 2% salicylic acid. It's all natural and free of parabens. I love the grainy exfoliators and the sweet smell. Leaves my skin feeling fresh! A bargain for $4 at drugstores.
I'm also using a facial mask once a week. The Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque from KIEHL'S is phenomenal. It removes dead skin, prevents skin from looking dull and visibly minimizes pores. Natural ingredients include aloe and oatmeal. I slather it on my face and neck, let it dry down for 15 minutes, rinse and moisturize. Available at www.kiehls.com for $23.99. Receive three complimentary samples with every online order.
CORAL QUEST: In search of the perfect coral shade to compliment sun kissed skin...do i go for a full burst of color or a soft shimmery gloss? Hmmmm...we'll see.

This site offers good advice. what products are recommended for men with dry/sensitive skin?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great tips! I needed to find a new cleanser -- my skin keeps breaking out in the same place for some unknown reason. I will try both.

I simply love St. Ives facial scrubs. However, I've yet to try Kiehl's products as I am partial to Clinque and Kinerase products. But for the price and because you suggested it (and you do know your stuff honey!), I'm ordering Kiehl's cleansing masque tonight. I will keep you in the know. Much love and power to you my sista. Keep doing your thing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE St. Ives and have for years. It's expensive and does the trick every time.
ReplyDeleteA man's skin tends to be a bit drier than ours so finding the right cleanser is a MUST. Try DOVE's Men Care Body & Face Bar. Microbeads ensure a deep, yet gentle, clean while it wards off dry skin with a quarter moisturizing cream. A real bargain at approx $5 for two bars! Be sure to rinse with warm water and follow with a moisturizer.

ReplyDeleteThis cleanser is truly a GEM for the price. The first time I used it, my face looked like I had gotten a facial at a spa--vibrant! Do they have toners, moisturizers, etc.? Hook a sista up!
ReplyDeleteHi Fee! I think the brand is big on facial cleansers and scrubs. But two moisturizers you can investigate: St. Ives Fresh Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer and St. Ives Elements Mineral Moisturizer with SPF 15. Will shop around for the toner and be in touch!
